Immersion Assembly

Welcome back! Who is excited for this term? We are going to leap into writing by creating some exciting recounts about our immersion assembly!

WALT: plan for our writing

When we plan, we need to think about:

• Who our audience is.
• How we are going hook this audience in - how are we going to capture their attention in a creative way?
• How we are going to create a description of the event which makes our audience feel like they were at the event too.
• How we are going to keep our audience interested as they read.

Step 1: Brainstorm.

What you could include:

• Descriptive words
• Ideas for a hook
• Key things you can remember from the assembly
• What you enjoyed
• What made you laugh

Step 2: Plan your own recount (double click on the drawing below).

On one S First we went to the hall and  when we set Dowe Mr Biret and Mr J and mr Sambal was singing a song in front of the school. They were singing  musical Madness. When it was Funniest the singing we went to do team 1 movie. Team one was About  what it feels like to listen to music. And then we went to team 2 movie. Team 2 movie was singing a song and we Move to team 3 movie. Our movie was About Favourite song that you  like. The next one was team 4. Team 4 movie was  listening to any song and then the next team was team 5. Team 5 was Watching The Lion King movie. When they was Watching it the first one was ok but when it was the next one it was Scary that was Finished we watch Mr J little cousins playing his band and when assembly was Finished we went to class and we was Writing About what We did in the hall for a  Assembly.

Cross Country run.

Cross Country

It is important to remember to catch your reader’s attention when you are writing and to hold it using descriptive details that are interesting.

Spend some time thinking about how you felt at the beginning of the Cross Country race, while you were waiting for Mr. Burt to yell “GO!”

As I stood at the starting line, waiting for Mr. Burt to yell “Go,”  I felt as if…   

when the year 4 boy went to do the run i was feeling scared when we went for the run. When mr Burt said go i went running to mr moran so when i went past the park i ran my fastest  to the Finish line. When I  got there I felt cool and Come dowe.

My Rocket Ship Adventure

My Rocket ship has two wing and one thruster. It can Teleport another planet like Uranus and Jupiter and station. It power can boost up out to special. It can zoom out somewhere else in special. When you are on your only one in the Rocket ship you can pole the rope and you can Wish for something. You can wish for your toy to came or you can wish for your family too came a board.

When I was walking on the walkway I got in the Rocket ship and I got my close and I put them on and I got in the Rocket ship. I went in and I cow-down to 3. I countdown to 3 and I went zooming out of Earth Into space. When I got to space I saw fire coming out of the boost. It was so cool because  I was floating in space.

When I got to space I saw the sun and star that was around me. I was  excited to be in space for the first time. I saw plant like mercury and venus and I saw me going far far far away for home. It was cool being in space Because you have friends with you and you can fly because there's no gravity in space and I like it and it made me live in space.
